Dr. Martens X NTS Takeover Brick Lane to Celebrate the New Generation of Music
Last week Dr Martens joined forces with NTS to take over the heart of Brick Lane with good vibes, good food and good music. Aiming to celebrate a new generation of musical talent the boot fair featured performances from a range of talent including 404 Eros, Anu, Pretty Sick as well as a special guest performance from Midlands rapper Sainte. Vibes ranged from alternative rap, to amapiano, to punk rock , to bashement and more – no sound or niche was left unturned.
Dr.Martens have always had a central position in London’s fashion culture – being a brand symbolic of rebellion, youth and authenticity. The event was nothing short of all three – with raffles to win a free pair of Dr.Martens as well as exclusive NTS merch. An array of market stalls were filled with welcoming vendors offering everything – clothing from ‘The Great Frog, Jewelry, Drinks, Food from the likes of Hackney’s Dom Subs as well as Rudie’s Jerk Shack and more. And if you rolled up with a pair of beat up Dr.Martens there were even opportunities for a free boot clean and customisation.
As summer comes to a close it was beautiful to experience a final seasonal event – a day personifying the energy of London’s musical and fashion landscape right now. Energy, Range and Originality. The emergence of both NTS family, Dr Martens family and passers by was beautiful to see – one last dance and vibe for the community before the summer is done, courtesy of Dr.Martens and NTS.
