THE BREAKDOWN : EL LONDO’S ‘THANKSLONDO’, AND ITS EXTRAORDINARY ASSEMBLAGE [@LONDOLONDO1]

‘THANKSLONDO‘ encapsulates a transformative odyssey for EI Londo, signifying a pivotal milestone in his evolution. Demonstrating a remarkable ability to forge deep connections with his audience, each track on this new project radiates with raw emotion and authenticity. EI Londo fearlessly delves into the realms of love, gratitude, self-discovery, and the ethereal beauty of life’s intricate moments, crafting an immersive auditory voyage that leaves a lasting impact. 

SARIOUS

With this project, I wanted to bring different worlds together. I wanted it to consist of people that I’ve worked with from the start, alongside people who have inspired me from the start. That’s why ‘SARIOUS’ is such an important track. The track features BlazeYL and Ashbeck. It was crucial for me to have Ash on this project, as he is the artist that I began my career with and we continue to make music together to this day. Blaze is someone who I have been listening to since I started making music, and his sound has definitely influenced my production, so it was only right to get him on this too. I produced this record with MANNY DUBBS, someone that I’ve looked up to since the beginning of my journey in music. I’ve always been a big fan of his production, from when I discovered him on Soundcloud in 2017, so to have him on this project was also very necessary. 

IT’S PEAK

Kaylan, formerly known as Kaywavey, is another artist that has been on my radar for years. After talking about a session for a long time, we finally linked up in July 2022, where we made ‘IT’S PEAK’. This track is special, as it is currently the only song we’ve ever made together, yet I loved it so much that I had to put it on the album. I’m used to hearing him sing, as the majority of his tracks that I listen to consist of him singing, so when I heard him drop them bars I was like “Woahhhh”. 

TEAM!

‘TEAM!’ is one of the more recently made tracks on the project. This record was made in January this year, consisting of Ramonie, Reek0, Ashbeck and ayrtn. The reason behind the name for this track is a nod to a song that we released on Soundcloud in 2018 called ‘Team’, featuring ayrtn, Ashbeck, Amm00 and Dreadz. This shows that we’re still on the same shit, the levels just keep going up. These four artists are very relevant to my journey, so it was only right to get them on this one.

PURE

‘PURE’ is the most recent song on the album, created in April 2023. With this project I really wanted to show my range and after listening to the finished product, I realised that it needed something else, there was too much rap. This is when I decided to team up with Meron T and George to make this song. This one took us two days to make and we really took our time, focussing on every little detail. Before starting this song, I had been having a pretty stressful day, but I found solace in creating this.

PRICEY

Lastly, I want to go onto ‘PRICEY’, made in April 2022. I generally start everything from scratch during the studio session, but I made this beat prior, in my old uni house. This track is unique, as it is the only song on the album that features lyrics from me. I generally find it difficult to write, but when I made this beat, new ideas kept flowing to me and I couldn’t stop writing. This never happens to me so I knew that it made sense for me to record on it, and it was only right to go back to back with my brother Ashbeck.
