New Collection: Peachy Den x Football Beyond Borders
Sustainable, women-led clothing brand Peachy Den are releasing a limited edition football scarf in collaboration with education and social inclusion charity: Football Beyond Borders.
The UK based brand celebrated this collaboration with the first ever Peachy League, an all women’s football tournament held at Powerleague Shoreditch.
In the rain holding umbrellas, beers in hand and wearing early releases of the limited edition scarves, guests cheered on the four different teams; Sirens FC, Victoria Park Vixens, and one made up of Peachy Den staff.
The charity works with dedicated young people who love football but are having a difficult time at school. Using the love of the beautiful game, Football Beyond Borders encourages young people to finish school, with long-term support that gives them an easier transition into adult life.
The scarves, a part of Peachy Den’s new football-themed collection: The Glory Days is inspired by women’s football and vintage sportswear.
When designing the collection the Peachy Den team were inspired by the Lionesses‘ recent success in the Euro 2022; beating Germany 2-1 and the way this highlighted women and girls competing and succeeding in a male-dominated space.
The Glory Days capsule collection includes ten limited edition, one-of-a-kind tops made from the scraps of vintage football shirts from a deadstock supplier. Launching in three parts over the next two weeks, it follows in the trend of Peachy Den clothing that strives to empower women.
While Sirens FC won the tournament, a portion of profits from the capsule going to Football Beyond Borders, the true winners will be the young people supported by the important work FBB does.
