[@Kamalnw] isn’t Shy About Love On New Song “better.”

On his latest single, “better.”, he doesn’t shy away from those feelings. The track’s production by long-time musical ally J Moon is a soft and idyllic acoustic backdrop that contrasts Kamal.’s raw lyricism throughout.

Via his songwriting, he reveals the almost ungovernable turbulence of emotions when you fall for someone singing, “it don’t get much better than this.” The Loose-directed visuals portray Kamal. riding on the back of a truck in an arid dessert while he daydreams about a far-away oasis.

In the past, Kamal. struck an inspiring balance between his academic life and music. Now, having graduated he is channeling all of his energies on recording as he grears up for a year of releases. His own sound was founded through inspirations like D’Angelo, Erykah Badu and Bill Withers and eventually he began to compose tracks using his ukulelea and in 2019 he went on to upload his first recorded song–“smilingdownthephone” via soundcloud.
