Applications open for The Library: an immersive experience showcasing Lusophone artistry

The Blacker The Berry is a creative collective for Black queer, trans and non-binary artists across the Diaspora, Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America.

The collective is hosting its first event in London: The Library. The immersive experience has been curated by Tânia Miranda de Carvalho and DON’T CALL ME TAKO, residents of Mothaland at No Signal Radio. The event seeks to platform and celebrate Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) artistry from across the globe. 

The theme for the day is ‘location.’ They seek artists who’ll creatively respond to the prompt and explore how one or various Lusophone locations (through their country of birth, upbringing, or heritage) have impacted their identity. Multimedia artists are invited to apply, whether their practice is music, illustration, film, photography, or other media.
