Amazon Prime Releases Fashion series ‘Making The Cut’ With Judge Naomi Campbell
Following on from series such as project runway and the latest Netflix fashion show hit Next In Fashion, Amazon prime will be coming out with a new reality competition series titled Making The Cut. The tv series will be showcasing designs in the hopes to find the next best fashion brand.
With men’s and couture fashion week cancelled and many other events cancelled, fashion fans all over the world will be looking to the internet to find new designers, new content and more fashion inspiration. Filling in for the missed fashion shows and events, hosts Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn provide the perfect fashion content to soothe our woes. The duo is joined by Naomi Campbell, fashionista Nicole Richie, alongside french editor Carine Roitfeld, influencer Chiara Ferragni, and designer Joseph Altuzarrato to find the next best designer. Similar to Next In fashion, the series will follow 12 designers that are already experienced in the world of fashion. With stakes high and the opportunity of a lifetime, contestants will really be fighting with fellow designers close to the top of their game to reach new heights in the fashion industry and build a globally recognized brand.
The prize is not only 1 million dollars for the winning designers business but a priceless mentorship with fashion head Christine Beauchamp and an exclusive clothing line on the shows hosting platform Amazon.
Known for her blunt and honest criticism Naomi Campbell will definitely be adding some entertainment as well as unfiltered wisdom.
Here’s what Naomi Campbell had to say about the show. “I just love the creativity and seeing how they’ve interpreted [challenges] into their style. They’ve got a lot of things thrown at them and they’ve dealt with it. I like to see growth and I got to see growth. I love all of the places we’re in: Paris, Tokyo — you couldn’t ask for anything better — and New York. All of these highly creative places in the fashion business. That was a real treat. That’s a dream and a lot of the creatives don’t start off in that way.“
Perfect for some quarantine content, the show released on the 27th of March, available to watch on Amazon Prime
