Converse X Kim Jones
Kim Jones debut Converse collection refashions the classic Chuck 70 with accompanying apparel. Honouring the values of Converse’s brand DNA whilst looking to the future, Jones reflects on the archetypes of contemporary streetwear, delivering a contemporary perspective. Experimenting with the classic’s distinctive lines, Jones says “The design approach for the shoe was very straight forward — taking a very classic shoe and then almost encasing it in something to protect it,”
Completing the collection are four garments: a Parka, Crewneck Sweatshirt, Cargo Pant, and T-Shirt. “There’s an easy look to each of the pieces,” says Jones. “I wanted each to be a modern version of the ‘Take Ivy’ vibe.”
