Young Black Business Awards [@YBBAWARDS]
Celebrating black excellence is a focal point for organisation YBBA (Young Black Business Awards). Founded by a group of self-starters that work in various sectors such as politics, business and civil society. They seek to celebrate and financially invest in the young and talented in the UK. In addition to empowering young black start-ups, by increasing the awareness of the Fourth Industrial Revolution which is a part of their mission.
Education within the community is crucial to the organisation. A key purpose stated by YBBA is to share business development opportunities within emerging global industries. To highlight the importance of black communities getting ahead of the game, by gaining knowledge on how existing artificial intelligence shall shape the future. Contributing to international initiatives such as Google’s Digital Skills for Africa Programme.
On the 10th of November, YBBA will be hosting an award evening, which also takes place during Global Entrepreneurship week. Where they will honour individuals on their efforts within their industry. This event will be a great opportunity for guests and nominees to network, increasing the awareness of young black successful individuals in London.
