Tyler, The Creator Directs The Really Cool Converse Club

In the first instalment of their new Create Next campaign, Converse enlist Tyler, The Creator to write and direct a skit around the classic Converse Chuck 70s.

The result of Tyler’s comedic vision? The Really Cool Converse Club. Set in a community centre, a cast of characters featuring notable creatives and comedians such as Josh Johnson, Henry Rollins, Davon “Jasper” Wilson and Tim Meadows gather to deal with an offending member that breaks one of the clubs three rules.

“I instantly thought about the many pockets of people that wear Chucks – like skateboarders, soccer moms, kids down the street, guys in the neighborhood I grew up with – and I wanted to put them in one place, that was important to me,” said Tyler. “Everyone wears Chucks…including pirates.”

Tyler, the creator has been collaborating with Converse since 2017, reinterpreting the brand and their iconic silhouettes in his animated and playful style, which defined the Converse x GOLF le FLEUR* collection, as well as designing the Converse Gianno silhouette.
