The Edit Man London and Gary James McQueen join forces on limited collection that centres on mental health
If you haven’t heard of The Edit Man London, let me get you up to speed. Now the top online consignment store for limited sneakers and high-end streetwear, The Edit Man London was launched just 15 months ago by founder Moses Rashid.
After a successful year, they are now turning their attention to the zeitgeist of sustainability and mental health.
Gary James McQueen and Moses Rashid were introduced last year when McQueen spoke to The Edit Man London about the launch of his brand that featured scarves as the centrepiece, paying tribute to his late uncle Alexander McQueen. With Rashid and Moses both starting their brands roughly at the same time, they connected on their motivations to be socially conscious in what they do.
For Gary James McQueen this looks like the latest collection “Guiding Light” which features 20 digital menswear and womenswear looks that can be viewed in a virtual immersive showroom and downloaded in AR as a 360° preview. These looks can be purchased straight off the runway to be worn digitally on a photo avatar of yourself, demonstrating the future facing sustainability that is built into Gary James McQueen. For The Edit Man London the first step to sustainability for them has taken the form of launching pre-loved clothing on their site.
Teaming up to focus their attention on mental health, The Edit Man London and Gary James McQueen, in conjunction with Mind Charity have created 100 t-shirts as well as face masks featuring McQueen’s famous Vanitas Skull. £5 from each t-shirt sold will be donated to Mind Charity.
