Your roundup of the latest fashion and beauty releases.
A-COLD-WALL*
A-C-W* partnered with British brand Mackintosh for a selection of seven pieces that reinterpret Mackintosh codes through A-C-W* lens. The rich history of Mackintosh, who revolutionised outwear using new forms of waterproofing through rubberisation, is a fitting collaboration for A-C-W* who pushed the boundaries of British streetwear through utilitarian design and technical clothing.
Referencing Mackintosh’s use of uniforms for institutions such as the military and British Railway, A-C-W* present a series of function-minded garments, incorporating Ross’ architectural sensibilities with Mackintosh’s famous fabrics to create rigid silhouettes.
STÜSSY X BIRKENSTOCK
Stüssy collaborate with Birkenstock again for a suede take on the Boston Clog. Available in “Bone”, “Caramel”, and “Dusty Pink”, the latest iteration features embossed Stüssy branding on the left, keeping Birkenstock’s longstanding cork footbed.
PLACES+FACES X TRAPSTAR
It’s not often we see Black-owned fashion brands collaborate, especially in the UK, so the Places+Faces x Trapstar collaboration is rare. What makes it even more significant is that Places+Faces and Trapstar are two brands that have earned their stripes and made their stamp in Black British fashion culture. Keeping it simple the collaboration featured a black t-shirt with the Trapstar “T” logo replacing the “+” in a red P+F logo. Delivered to you fresh in a pizza box.
TIMBERLAND X BAPE
Timberland and BAPE joined forces for two new men’s styles that bring BAPE motif “BAPE STA” and their signature camo pattern to Timberland Boots and 3-eye Lug shoes. Keeping their famous “wheat” colour and handsewn construction, the Waterproof Chukka Boots get a camo makeover, accented with the BAPE STA design. The 3-eye Lug shoes also feature camo with green laces. Both styles are made using Timberland’s Better Leather.
TRENDSLDN – STRIKE THROUGH NYLON SHORTS
Concept led streetwear brand TRENDSLDN is back with new drops, first releasing socks that are meant to be styled to be seen, in black and red, and grey and black. They feature a strikethrough that connects to the TRENDSLDN logo. The latest release are shorts with the same strikethrough design in 3M, made from Nylon. Very simple, very clean.
DAILY PAPER – AFRICA TO THE WORLD
Paying homage to the motherland, Daily Paper introduces their latest capsule collection Africa To The World. You can expect a hoodie, jogger, t-shirt, jumper and a beautiful forest green varsity jacket, all adorned with a globe held within two hands spotlighting Africa. The campaign which was created by Josef Adamu’s Sunday School is reminiscent of college days with preppy styling.
‘From Africa To The World is an ode to the diaspora that represents their culture across borders’ says Daily Paper co-founder Abderrahmane Trabsini.
