Photographer apologises to [@Lupita_Nyongo]

With her recent cover on the Grazia UK magazine, Lupita Nyong’o’ is said to be very disappointed with the edit of her hair.

We all know that Nyong’o’ has beautiful kinky hair but in this cover, the photographer edited her hair out.

A recent statement released by the photographer stated that he was ‘deeply sorry’ for this is a ‘monumental mistake’. This whole situation highlighted the ‘Eurocentric notion of what beautiful hair looks like’. From his apology, you can tell that An Le didn’t mean to hurt or offend anyone.

Hopefully, Nyong’o’s call out makes other magazines realise that editing black girls’ hair is unacceptable and they need to appreciate every type of beauty!
