New Balance Release Their Latest Silhouette: The 9060

Inspired by their 99x series, New Balance is dropping their newest model, the 9060 sneaker, which is a nod to the emergence of the tech aesthetic of the early 2000s. 

The turn of the millennium was the beginning of an era defined by the advent of the cyber world and the exciting technology that came with it, perfectly encapsulated by New Balance running shoes like the 860. Adopting similar features, the 9060 modernises the classic style, with exaggerations like a badge on the tongue, diamond-shaped outsole and a split at the heel.

Modelled by rapper Amine, the campaign takes the viewer on the journey of the design process, showing how the team went deep into the archives for inspiration to create different drafts of the shoe before arriving at the style of the newest sneaker joining the New Balance family.

The new model is made from premium pig suede leather and mesh, available for £130 in a white/beige colourway for the initial release. Other colourways will become available throughout the year, so keep an eye out for newer drops.  

The first release drops globally on July 16th.
