Krept & Konan host a dinner to celebrate the Marc Jacques Burton x Cîroc collab [@kreptandkonan]
Designer Marc Jacques Burton and his namesake clothing brand have officially unveiled a crossover-creative collaboration with Cîroc. The luxury streetwear brand – that has become a go-to for artists like Lil Baby, Wizkid and The Rolling Stones – celebrated this week’s collab reveal with a private dinner, hosted by the UK music scene’s very own Krept & Konan. With no time wasted, both rappers helped showcase some of the pieces with friends like Yung Filly, Chip & Nafe Smallz in attendance.
The limited edition collection includes custom Cîroc Vodka bottle designs, featuring signature graffiti art and inscriptions drawn by Marc himself. These were made to match the collab’s on-trend stacked jeans, denim jackets and sleek windbreakers. Look closely enough at the designs, and you’ll notice each of the items’ words pay homage to some of Krept & Konan’s game-changing lyrics.
The collaboration follows on from Cîroc’s “Make Big Moves” global campaign which featured the rap duo and model Winnie Harlow. This linkup with the leading party beverage also makes sense since Marc Jacques Burton took his own experience in nightlife & live shows to create a star-studded energy about his brand.
To celebrate “style and big moves”, both Marc & Cîroc made sure the clothing items are available to supporters only via their online giveaway (still open, by the way). However, the vibrant colored bottles – along with a 1 of 1 reusable bottle bag – are now ready to purchase at luxury hub Harvey Nichols London, with only a limited number available.
You may recognize the colorful-haired Marc Jacques Burton as the expert judge alongside singer Miguel on BBC’s “The Drop”. Or perhaps you’ve seen his items in Selfridges on the fashion floor. Either way, the MJB brand’s relevance and industry-cred has organically been on the up and up. Artists worldwide continue to co-sign it’s “Live Your Dream” motto and vibe.
Most recently, one of NBA’s flyest players Kyle Kuzma sported the brand’s very elaborate spiked organza set as one of his game day arrival fits this month. As expected the look went viral. Weeks before he rocked MJB’s 200-pocket “grenade” set, which took months of design. Years before that, the brand’s British DNA and Italian atelier-design had the likes of Future and Young Thug wearing standout pieces on stage, emblazoned with the recognisable bat logo.
