Blue Ivy Carter’s At Home Experiment Demonstrates The Importance of Washing Your Hands

Blue Ivy Carter – The first-born daughter of Beyonce Knowles & Jay-Z has made her very own public service announcement via her grandmother’s Instagram account. The eight-year-old starlet, who is the youngest person to receive an accolade for Outstanding Duet or Group Award at the 51st Annual NAACP Awards, for her work on the track “Brown Skin Girl” can now add budding scientist to the list.

Living in a time where our first line of defence from the new coronavirus is washing our hands, medical experts and scientists have urged the importance of washing our hands with soap, as opposed to solely relying on hand sanitizers. Whether it is singing ‘happy birthday” whilst washing your hands or plastering reminders all over your home. Personal hygiene is at its utmost importance for the health of all of us.

Blue Ivy’s grandmother, Tina Knowles, posted a video of Blue performing a simple science experiment that demonstrated the importance of using soap when washing your hands. She echoed her Mother’s southern-toned greeting with a cheerful “Hey y’all”. It was endearing to hear her explanation of how soap can prevent you from catching the coronavirus. The video has now ranked up 78,437 views and is still growing. Hopefully, the message sinks into all our heads and we can look forward to a Covid:19 free future.
