[@AfroNationGhana]: Africa’s Biggest Urban Music Beach Festival Shall Return

Just over a month ago, Afro Nation made its first appearance in Ghana. The much-anticipated event took place from the December 27th – 30th 2019 at Laboma Beach. The festival attracted a worldwide audience, from Africa to Europe attendees came in their colourful prints ready to celebrate at Africa’s Biggest Urban Music Beach Festival. The festival did not only have a main stage, but also had different stations on the beach with food, live DJ’s alongside chill out zones.

The fun did not end there, Afro Nation also had a line up of after parties associated with the event. Not that the festival needed this! Afro Nation went above and beyond by creating an impeccable programme followed by after parties to keep the momentum going.

The main stage brought together the best artists in Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Bashment and Afrobeats. Headliners included Alkaline, Burna Boy, Davido, Shatta Wale, Stonebwoy and many more… The collaboration of different sounds was what made the festival truly unforgettable, catering to a wide audience creating an indescribable vibe.

The Ghana Tourism Authority this month signing a Memorandum of Understanding to host Afro Nation in Ghana for the next five years shows the success of the event. Afro Nation making a comeback in Ghana shall aid to the visibility Afrobeats deserves, over the years the sound has been globally recognised. Afro Nation for the next five years shall not only contribute to the positive transformation of Afrobeat’s, but also give upcoming artists in Accra the potential opportunity to shine.
