5 Songs you need to listen to this week. | @DCWorldMG, @KhelaniMusic, @NadiaRoseMusic & More
The song’s we are listening to this week.
1. Kehlani – Did I
The impressive new R&B songstress ups the ante once more this once following her incredible Grammy nomination for only a mixtape. ‘Did I’ is littered in confidence as Kehlani tells the haters that she’ll stop when she’s ‘not so high’. The track itself is one of Kehlani’s best releases this year and the confidence feels fitting considering the amount of moves and hustling the Oakland songbird has.
2. DC – Goku
Fast rising Grime MC DC recently released the track Goku, which demonstrates a lot of potential. Lyrically, DC takes the beat and lyrically rides it with a natural flair and confidence that’ll leave you engaged until the end and even wanting more. The production is simple but still atmospheric, providing a strong enough base for DC’s lyrical content. As a whole, the song solidified the talent DC possesses and is strong in all components of its delivery.
3. Tory Lanez – Traphouse ft Nyce
The fast-rising Canadian rapper returns with another infectious record. Traphouse, hears Tory try to tempt female interests to the ‘traphouse’. The production is laid back and allows Tory’s signature vocals ride the beat. The track sounds like something ‘Trapsoul’ inspired but inclusive of more soundscapes and the edits of Tory’s voice help make the track more organic. Definitely a song which will be put on loop!
4. Nadia Rose – Boom
The female of the moment shows us why she is definitely one to look out for, with her latest track “BOOM”. Nothing but trippy flows over a head banging beat from TheBlkObsidian. Nadia is a not a force to be reckoned with. This is why.
5. Jay Prince – Juice feat Alan Kingdom
