In the space of a few years the young designer has cultivated a community willing to run after his punk culture inspired designs in the streets from London to Johannesburg. Often clad from head to toe in his own brand, straight faced and piercing through the screen of your Instagram feed, we captured the side to Syd less known in this beautifully insightful conversation between him and the woman he claims he ‘always looked to as a hero’ – his mum.
