#SaturdaySteez is your round-up of the latest fashion and beauty releases that you should know about.
Nike Go FlyEase
On February 1st Nike announced the launch of Nike Go FlyEase, their first hands-free sneaker which improves on the Nike FlyEase. Nike has a reputation for creating iconic silhouettes and using sophisticated technology and engineering to push the boundaries of what is possible with footwear.
This is the type of intuitive innovation we love to see as this is a shoe that is great for people with disabilities or a limited range of motion. It’s also perfect for when you need to run quick errands or come home hella tired and the mere thought of taking off your shoes feels like a stretch.
Key features include:
- Bi-stable Hinge – Nike GO FlyEase’s bi-stable hinge keeps the shoe securely open upon entry/exit and closed when in use.
- Kickstand Heel – The intuitive kickstand heel mimics the action many intuitively perform to kick off their shoes, but by design and without compromising the heel.
- The “Diving Board” – The underfoot “diving board” maintains a continuous foot-bed for comfort and stability.
- Tensioner – The tensioner band holds the shoe open and closed, snapping the shoe into position.
The Nike GO FlyEase will be priced at £104.95 and available for Nike Members from 15th February.
Reebok Nano X1
Continuing with new iterations, Reebok has launched the latest version of the Nano franchise, the Nano X1.
Designed to be the most supportive, comfortable, and versatile training shoe the brand has ever made, the Nano X1 is built to withstand the pressures of any type of exercise.
A silhouette born more than 10 years ago that was originally created to meet the unique demands of athletes within the box, Reebok has continually evolved the Nano franchise over time to adapt to the fitness landscape and service the needs of the growing widespread wellness community.
Key details include:
- Comfort: fuses Reebok’s Floatride Energy cushioning of a running shoe while maintaining the performance and stability of a training shoe
- Speed: the sleek shape and design allow for maximum speed and runnability
- Control: provides designed stability to support varied workouts
You’ll also have the option to choose the upper material you get your Nano X1 in as they introduce Flex weave Knit, a soft yet strong, style-driven upper that provides max breathability, and Flexweave Grit, an ultra-strong, lightweight, and durable material that’s built to withstand the most extreme workouts.
The Reebok Nano X1 retails at £110 and will be available in a wide range of colour selections on its global launch date of February 3rd on Reebok.com
CMMND X UCLA
CMMND are an art collective, producing projects in music, fashion design and visual media based in LA. This year they are crossing new frontiers as they release a collection with the iconic University of California, Los Angeles.
UCLA has a history of collaborating with brands such as Nike and Pull and Bear to rework and combine the UCLA logo with fashion. CMMND X UCLA is significant because this collaboration comes as the brand is still establishing themselves.
“Choosing to work with CMMND now rather than waiting until they have ‘arrived’… gives us the opportunity to present a collection reflective of UCLA brand tenets… a pioneering spirit and commitment to openness and inclusiveness” says Cynthia Holes, Director of UCLa Trademarks and Licensing.
The first installment from the release features four apparel styles, weaving UCLA’s logos and mascots into streetwear designs.

D3 ‘The Escapists’ Collection
Luxury streetwear brand D’TROIS, established in 2012, presents the debut ready-to-wear collection ‘The Escapists’ from their new diffusion line D3. Inspired by Adidas’ short film ‘Infinite Silence’, the collection explores what escapism means and the vices people use to do this.
The designer and founder of the brand, Daniel Deacon wanted the collection of t-shirts, hoodies, tracksuits, jackets, and socks to encourage the wearer to ask themselves questions. The collection communicates this through graphic prints, thought-provoking text, and design elements such as panelling and patchwork contrasting seams.

Waste Yarn Project
Waste Yarn Project is a contemporary knitwear label based in Paris, founded by Siri Johansen, a knitwear designer who has previously designed for brands such as Kenzo and Burberry.
The project uses excess yarn that would otherwise go to waste to create interesting genderless garments. No two pieces are the same as the shape of every piece is designed in advance then knitted by hand on a manual machine, made with its own alchemy of yarn and colour.

Clarks Originals X Sporty & Rich
Clarks Originals have been on a streak with the collaborations and their latest tag-team sees Sporty & Rich rework the classic Wallabee.
Founder of Sporty and Rich, Emily Oberg wanted to combine her passion for a curated and aesthetically pleasing style with Clarks Originals timeless heritage.
Available in the colours Merlot, Cream Puff and Robin’s Egg Blue, this collaboration is all about stand-out simplicity. Each shoes comes with a matching leather tag embossed with the Sporty & Rich logo in gold.
A conscious focus for this collaboration was making it with a reduced cost to the environment, especially as leather is a material that doesn’t fare well on the sustainability scale. The ‘Heinen Hillcrest’ leather was sourced from a family-run tannery called Heinen in Germany, whilst the rubber that makes up the shoe sole is FSC certified, meaning it was harvested to benefit communities, wildlife, and the environment.
The Sporty & Rich x Clarks Originals Wallabee retails for £140 and will be available for purchase exclusively on SportyAndRich.com and Clarks.com from February 15th.
