bib sama. is exploring new soundscapes here, each track has a variety of sounds yet still all manage to sound true to his essence. He’s got jungle, grime and melodic influences on here to name a few, demonstrating he’s unafraid to break the boundaries of music.

Shay Lia – TAKUTÁ

Back after three years, Shay Lia has redefined her sound. Full of energy, she hops on this Afropop rhythm and diversifies her discography. Alternating between French and English, the Djiboutian-French singer experiments with different vocals on this fun, upbeat track.

Bloody Civillian – I Don’t Like You

Bloody Civilian is proving to be an exciting new voice in Afropop. With various drum patterns that verge on jersey club and house that combine with the Afropop melody, the production is unlike anything you’ve ever heard and her enchanting voice vocalises her disdain for another person gorgeously.

AMAKA – CRUISIN’

Embarking on a solo career, AMAKA (formerly known as Jess from R&B duo, Vanjess) debuts with a house/R&B fused single that’s got Kaytranada’s production written all over it. The bounce of the house beat creates the perfect foundation for her smooth, angelic tone.

Odumodublvck – DECLAN RICE

Odumodublvck’s latest single is gonna make you wish it was summer with it’s infectious rhythm as the Afrobeats melody floats under his deep vocals. His unique cadence makes him stand out within the genre.

Rio Rainz – favourite girl

Romance has never sounded so sweet. The jazz-laced rap production creates a mellow vibe, akin to a lullaby. The lyrics are full of adoration for his ‘favourite girl’ and the song feels like when your partner plays with your hair while you’re lying in their lap.

DEELA – Take It Up

DEELA’s flow is for pretty girls. The trap melody combines with the synths to create a futuristic soundscape. DEELA raps about focusing on herself and moving on, making sure anyone who’s done her dirty knows what they’re losing out on.
