Nando’s launches new competition to find the UK’s next wave of comedy

Nando’s is bringing the fire—not just to your plate, but to the UK’s comedy scene. Introducing The Extra Hot Comedy Club, a brand-new campaign and live event series in partnership with Time Out, designed to spotlight the UK’s next wave of comedic talent.

The Competition: A Stage for Rising Stars

Leading the charge is none other than Munya Chawawa, the social media sensation, comedian, and self-proclaimed Nando’s superfan. Munya is calling on the funniest up-and-coming social media comedians to step up and audition for a chance to land a paid gig at the Extra Hot Comedy Club. All they need to do? Post a stand-up set on social media using #ExtraHotComedyClub to enter.

The Judges & Live Performances

Munya, alongside Time Out’s editorial team and Nando’s Head of Brand, will handpick the most hilarious audition clips. The winners will then get the chance to perform live at four exclusive Extra Hot Comedy Club events hosted at select Nando’s restaurants across the UK.

Each show will be headlined by Munya Chawawa, Grace Campbell, Chris Hall, and Larry Dean, with support from a lineup of local MCs bringing fresh energy to the stage. And, of course, plenty of PERi-PERi to spice up the night.

Bringing Comedy to Social Media

The Extra Hot Comedy Club isn’t just about live gigs—it’s also a social media movement. The entire journey, from auditions to behind-the-scenes moments, will be showcased across Instagram and TikTok, giving the UK’s emerging comedy talent the visibility they deserve.
