Leo Luchini [@dasluchini] drops trippy debut EP “Bubblegum” Creep
THIS EP WILL HAVE YOU FLEXING OUT OF BED.
Introducing producer & artist Leo Luchini with his debut EP “Bubblegum Creep”. Hailing from Peckham, South London – this 9-track EP is a perfect introduction to Luchini’s laid back sound.
The EP is an amazing blend of hip-hop, lo-fi beats & trap which is probably a reflection of Luchini’s worldwide influence. Not many can say they have lived in Berlin, America and London, soaking in different cultures & sounds from every city.
Speaking on identity Luchini says “I’ve always been interested in cultural identity seeing as I’m Italian-American and German and really feel like neither of em… Everywhere I go, even my home Berlin, people assume I’m not from around lol… I like using cultural references I know only this group will get and right after reference something that only this other community will get- I think embracing the effects of globalisation and multiculturalism is just as important as embracing heritage.. And having written songs since a yungun, rap music has become my perfect way to reflect it. Lyrically, interesting references and clever wit are important to me… I tend to cringe at music that takes itself too seriously…”
With all this behind him it is no surprise to why he has supported acts such as Father, Abra & KeithCharles Spacebar.
