Interview:
What should people expect from this mix?
This mix is more of just a chill, U.K sing-a-long ting.
What is your favourite track to spin during your DJ sets?
I think I have a few but Suspect’s “FBG” is definatley the one for me. The gas is real.
How did you get into Djing?
I’ve secretly been a DJ from young, if there was a setting where there was music and speakers, I would most definitely be selecting the tracks and controlling the aux. My family, Polo Soleri and Skinny Macho started DJ’ing when they went to University and I was onto them to show me how to use Virtual DJ and so Polo finally did. From there I did a few gigs and then bought my first controller end of 2015, taught myself how to use it and it’s been going well ever since.
Everyone is talking about being a ‘Female DJ’ Is there such thing as being a female DJ or just a DJ?
People talk about being a female DJ? I’m playing.. I understand but I see it as if you’re sick, you’re sick. Male or female, if you’re sick the respect will come so I just focus on that.
What essentials do you bring to your sets?
Just my laptop, laptop stand, wires, headphones and controller. I don’t have a Searto Box yet so I always bring my controller just in case.
Who and what inspires you?
Stormzy inspires me a lot. His drive is second to none, his confidence and self belief is something that when you’re around you can’t help but feel elevated and ready to take on the world.
What is the best part of what you do?
The best part has to be seeing my vibe and energy pour into others then watching the snaps after. There’s most likely something mad that went down and it’s always good to see everyone enjoying and loving it.
What are your plans for world domination?
I can’t talk too much on that one but there is a plan.
Tips for budding DJ’s?
Focus on yourself and practice.
Where can people find you on social media?
