Everyday People Finally Debut Their Globally Renowned Party in Jamaica

Everyday People (EP), the globally renowned cultural movement celebrated for uniting music, art, and community, is making its highly anticipated debut in the Caribbean, with its first staging in Jamaica. On
Saturday, October 19, 2024, EP will transform the iconic Kaya Kingston venue into an immersive experience unlike any other, blending the spirit of Jamaica with the globally adored “coolest day party” vibes that Everyday People is famous for.

Everyday People: A Global Phenomenon
Everyday People is more than just an event—it is a vibrant community and cultural platform that has redefined the social experience by merging music, aesthetics, and the cultural heritage of the global Black diaspora. Touted by Vice as “The World’s Coolest Day Party,” EP consistently curates spaces where diverse groups come together in joyous celebration of culture, creativity, and community.

From New York to Lagos, and now Kingston, Everyday People is a guiding light for
individuals across the globe seeking not just a party, but an enriching blend of music,
cultural exchange, and unity. Through its world tours, EP elevates and celebrates the
richness of Black culture, while creating moments of collective joy.

The Jamaica Debut: A New Chapter for EP
For the first time ever, EP is bringing its electric energy to the Caribbean, and there’s no better place for its debut than Jamaica, the land of reggae, dancehall, and world-class culture. On October 19, Kaya Kingston will be transformed into an expansive day party and community experience, combining EP’s signature elements of top-tier musical performances, vibrant aesthetics, and the warm, communal spirit
Jamaica is known for. Set to open its gates at 8 PM, expect a lineup of local and international DJs, live performances, food, and interactive installations—all designed to celebrate the deep connections between the global diaspora and Jamaica’s own cultural influence.

The event will be hosted by Jorge Gitoo Wright (@gitoo_thoo), Shernita Anderson (@shernitasofly), Sinclair Bolden (@sinclairbolden), Maine Buchanan (@mainejbuchanan), Esi Samuels (@esisamuels), and Samuel Kyei (@hooliboy94), in collaboration with the Jamaican team: Adrian Wilson (@adrie_capo), Creep Chromatic (@creepchromatic), and Silent Addy (@silentaddy). The local team has also enlisted Event Producers Cheraine Marshall (@cherja_) and Carleene Samuels (@goddessrockstar) to help execute this staging.

“As Everyday People’s growth continues to connect the global Black diaspora through its events, Jamaica and the Caribbean at large are essential parts of the journey. There can’t be a full story or experience without the music, culture, and community of the islands,” said Maine Buchanan, Managing Partner of Everyday People. “We’re excited to link directly with the people of Kingston, Jamaica, and
continue to bring the diaspora together through joyful celebration.” The Jamaican team is dedicated to curating an unforgettable first staging of the event in the Caribbean. “The music at Everyday People is next level; it’s a journey through the sounds that unite the global Black experience. What makes this event different is the way it blends cultures and vibes, creating an atmosphere that’s electric and unforgettable. Jamaica has never seen anything like this,” said Adrian Wilson, Host.

Creep Chromatic, a key player in the partnership with the local and EP teams, also expressed high expectations for the event. “This event is going to be different because it’s not just about a party—it’s about creating a space where music and culture come together. Everyday People is a celebration of the diaspora, bringing together sounds and cultures that connect us all.”
