5EB [@5EBfendiii] steps out of ‘Highbernation’

Highbernation is the follow up to 5EB’s debut project CHILDI5H, and it packs a punch.

5EB has made quite the statement with Highbernation. He may have flown under your radar somehow up til now but his fan base is strong. Upon announcing his headline show last year at O2 Academy Islington the show sold out in 24 hours. On this latest EP you can see exactly why his fans were so quick to get their hands on those tickets. Highbernation is a vibe, it is all of the best elements of the new wave of Rap that was spearheaded by D-Block Europe but done in 5‘s unique way.

Despite being short in length it packs plenty of variety on it, including a short flipped sample of Justin Timberlake‘s breakout track, ‘Cry Me A River’. Yet this isn’t the only surprise on the project as with all of the diverse approaches to his sound 5 managed to curate it so that it is cohesive. There are records you can blast in your car as well as some for the sunny weather we’ve been having recently. Highbernation is a nice addition to your summer soundtrack and definitely a great introduction to 5EB if this is the first you’ve heard of him.
