Penny Up is a new coming of age short film set in Southeast London

What happens when five high-achieving students in a school in South London decide to start planning a heist?

Penny Up is a new coming-of-age comedy short film where a group of young students plans to take back everything the school had confiscated throughout their years. Adventurous, funny, and gripping, the short film is a dynamic take on a classic heist plot.

The film was birthed by music video director Tomi ‘MRMTMMG’ Okeowo and his reflection on his time at school. In his first film, he is joined by producer Benjamin Opuku from The Unit Production and co-creators Bebe Solabiand Tolu Sarah Martins (also the writer!).

What started as a Kickstarter campaign that raised over £13000 ended up in a fully-fledged short film, which is now ready for its debut on Saturday 6th of May, at Genesis Cinema.
