Puma introduce the OP-1 sneaker from new PWRFrame line

Last week Puma launched sneaker franchise PWRFrame, releasing the OP-1 sneaker as the first offering from the line. The OP-1 is built on an architectural like structure with PWRFrame technology that unveils new cushioning and support for the foot, and will be the basis of all future sneakers to come from this line.

Danny Taylor, Puma’s Design lead for Sportstyle Footwear says “The PWRFrame component itself is the connecting structure between specific points on the shoe that require stability (heel and arch for example), and the aesthetic of this element represents a more industrial approach.”

In a silver and off-white colourway with orange accents, the OP-1 blends streetwear aesthetics and vis-tech features such as breathable mesh and secure lace up fastening with traditional overlays and technical bonding for a bold aesthetic.

When asked about the inspiration behind the shoe, Danny Taylor said, “The design is inspired by our approach to tech driven product; we want to emphasize functionality through a collage of contrasting construction techniques and manufacturing processes.”

The PUMA OP-1 PWRFrame is available now on PUMA.com and selected retailers starting at £100.
