Payday drops: Clothes to buy yourself this payday

It’s that time again. It’s Friday, you’ve (hopefully) just been paid and you’re ready for the weekend. Here is this month’s list of wearable goodness for you to spend your payday coins on!

  1. NSG X La Fam Amsterdam Collection

This Summer the Amsterdam based streetwear brand La Fam has joined together with London’s favourite boy band NSG to create a capsule collection. Inspired by the fact that The Area Boyz (NSG) have known each other since school, the collection is essentially the school uniform we all wish we had growing up. The capsule features a school outfit head to toe, alongside a beautiful varsity jacket and gorgeous knitwear, with colours representing both the Nigerian and Ghanaian flags, where the NSG members’ heritage lies.

2. New Balance 1906R, JD Sports, £140

First up we have some shoes to match the weather we’re having in the UK at the moment! Comfy, stylish, and pairable with almost anything, these New Balances are an easy summer staple. These grey 1906Rs are exclusive to JD Sports, so you know where to go to get them.

3. Chuck Taylor All Star Cruise, Converse, £80

More shoes: Converse have treated us with a lightweight take on their classic Chuck Taylors, creating the perfect mix of throwback/vintage feel and comfort. The Cruise also features some skate-inspired elements, resulting in a disrupted look, which pays homage to the counterculture fashion scene that adopted the original Chuck Taylor shoe as its own. When they said comfort they meant it as well – the Cruise has a bouncy foam midsole, OrthoLite cushioning, and a lightweight EVA-injected outsole. Available in black, egret and pink sage (the colour of the moment!), there is one for everyone.

4. Jonah Embroidery Jacket, Arte, £380

This gorgeous jacket couldn’t be left off of this month’s list. Featuring intricate floral stitching, a wonderful oversized fit and a rich navy colour, this jacket comes from Arte, a black-owned, belgium (Antwerp to be precise) based brand. I don’t know about you but I need this jacket in my life, asap. Although it’s not officially available until mid august, we are telling you now so that you can set your alarms and get ready for the drop.

5. Grey Dragon Jorts, Ed Hardy, £75

By now I’m sure you would have heard of jorts – the perfect blend between jeans and shorts that have taken the scene by storm this summer. This pair are from statement denim experts Ed Hardy, and pays homage to their Y2K heritage.
