JD Sports presses play on Summer with their latest collection

Earlier this month I got the privilege of joining JD Sports in Ibiza as they partner with the island’s most iconic music destination, Ibiza Rocks. Sporting JD’s latest Summer collection, I got to enjoy a jam-packed couple of days in the Spanish sun with a first-hand taster of JD’s love of youth, fun, and of course, fashion. 

As a brand, JD is known for being the go to for all things street and sportswear. From Nike to Birkenstocks to Pink Soda to Juicy Couture, they’ve got something for everyone. As the Official Fashion Partner of Ibiza Rocks for Summer 2023, they’re making this one a summer to remember, as it promises to be the biggest to date.

The trip started off with all of us decked out in our comfy but stylish and eye-catching airport fits. I wore a Pink Soda sweatshirt and cargo pants combo, because cargo pants are indeed the trousers of the moment. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the garments – the sweatshirt being extremely soft on the skin, and the cargo pants being sturdy but breathable, making them perfect for the transition from the chilly morning in Gatwick airport, to the blissful sun that greeted us as we landed in Ibiza. 

After a little rest, we got into our glad rags and headed over to dinner where we spoke music, travel, food, and of course fashion and how to shop more sustainably. 

The next day was the main event, where our morning began at Blow Out Salon, where we were pampered with hair and makeup treatments, cocktails and our own personal DJ to get us in the mood. 

Glammed up and head to toe in our JD sourced swimwear, we headed to Ibiza Rocks for Fire in The Pool, a play on Charlie Sloth’s famous Fire in the Booth, giving Rap music a permanent home in Ibiza. We splashed, ate, drank and danced away, enjoying sounds supplied by Charlie Sloth and Arrdee’s special performance as the finale. 

Our last day in Ibiza consisted of the ultimate chilled vibes – yoga on a beautiful cliff, before a sunset picnic that pictures and words cannot even do justice. Definitely the most romantic thing I’ve ever laid eyes on and something I will be thinking about for a very long time.

All in all it was a wonderful experience with a wonderful bunch. Jealous? Not to worry, The JD x Ibiza Rocks Fire in the Pool series continues with upcoming residencies from the likes of Krept and Konan and D Block Europe, throughout the entire summer.
