Introducing [@SportReel] The Platform Designed to Promote Up and Coming Athletes

SportReel is an one of a kind outlet providing athletes with the life-changing opportunity to put hardworking and talented forces of nature out there. 22-year-old Layi Ogunyemi, Director of the project also an international Business Management graduate based in Lincoln, is the mastermind of this unique venture.

I have always had a passion for sports from a young age. I started SportReel to fill a gap in the market for young ‘up and coming’ athletes. I observed that these athletes have limited platforms to showcase their skills and share their story. I felt that it is was important for upcoming athletes to be heard as these athletes could be the future stars in their sport so there should be a platform that is dedicated to showing their talents and telling their story.

In over a year of its existence, SportReel has taken the bold step to showcase a wide range of athletes in different genres of sports. During this time period, Layi has been in conversation with athletes such as Junior World Muay Thai Champion Riley ‘Top Boy’ SmithWolverhampton Wanderers Academy Player Usman Khan and upcoming Golfer Aaron Kay.

SportReel aims to promote upcoming athletes by giving them a platform to showcase their talent and tell their story. SportReel aims to give exposure to these athletes by creating original adverts tailored to the athlete and having conversations with them so that the athletes can share their story for relevant stakeholders. SportReel also aims to source undiscovered talent for them to have the opportunity to showcase their skills and share their experiences to relevant stakeholders on the platform.

SportReel may be in its early days but so far it has proven that it is ahead of its time. There’s a bright future ahead of this concept and it shall certainly turn out to become a household name in the world of sports.
