Grammy nominated [@realtamiaworld] drops her new album ‘Passion Like Fire’

Multi-Grammy nominated artist and R&B royalty Tamia, drops her highly anticipated seventh studio album ‘Passion Like Fire’.

The 12 song LP reunites Tamia with hit makers Salaam Remi (Amy Winehouse, Alicia Keys), Lil Ronnie (Ne-Yo, Ciara) and Shep Crawford(Whitney Houston, Boyz II Men).
As well as working for the first time with Latin producer Andres Torres (Marc Anthony) and Toronto-based Gray Hawken (Locals Only Sound).
Along with Lil Ronnie, the R&B veteran co-wrote half the tracks on the album. All of which show off her sensational and distinctive vocal ability and prove why she’s an R&B veteran.

Speaking on the release of her album she states: “I’m really excited to debut new music, connect with my fans, and show my continued evolution as an artist”.

“I’m still passionate about music and the process and I hope listeners can feel that with ‘Passion Like Fire’. To have reunited with Salaam Remi on the lead single ‘Leave It Smokin’, I was so excited. It feels like summertime, fun and a perfect way to introduce this album. I’m so grateful to the fans and radio stations for supporting it.”

Tamia’s big break came when she collaborated with celebrated music producer Quincy Jones on the classic album ‘Q’s Jook Joint’ in 1998. Followed by the release of her self-titled debut.
The debut album earned her two Grammy nominations; Best Female R&B Vocal Performance for ‘You’ve Put A Move On My Heart’ and Best R&B Performance By A Duo Or Group with Vocal for ‘Slow Jams’ featuring Babyface,

The album in turn, also marks another momentous occasion: the 20th anniversary of Tamia’s critically acclaimed, self-titled 1998 debut album. The album initiated a string of hits that the six-time Grammy Award nominee has steadily spun off along the way. Including “You Put a Move on My Heart” and “Missing You”. And most notably “Into You”.

It’s an album full of classic R&B tracks which match the singers vocal talents. It’s a reminder of what she does best, contemporary love songs. Although, it does lack the spark of a timeless hit similar to that of ‘Into You’.
