The May Queen dress from Midsommar has sold for $65,000 at a charity auction. Last month, the arthouse film company behind the movie A24 announced that it would be auctioning off several iconic props and wardrobe items from its most acclaimed films to raise money for New Yorkers impacted by the COVID-19 crisis.

The Midsommer May dress gardened a lot of attention, recognised as the “May Queen” dress worn by Florence Pugh finale of director Ari Aster’s “Midsommer” horror movie that grossed $46.9 million against a $9 million budget.

The dress weighs 33Ibs and is made with 10,000 silk flowers,. Sold for a staggering $65,000 alongside the May Queen crown and the bear headdress, which sold for $15,000 and $4,750.
