Erykah Badu defends Hitler and Bill Cosby in bizarre interview

Erykah Badu; The free-spirited, ‘peace and light’ wishing R&B singer, is under fire for her very problematic statements in an interview with Vulture.

And reading the interview twice, from top to bottom and bottom to top. It’s true.

Her comments were unnecessary, to say the least.

In the interview, she suggested that maybe Hitler wasn’t all bad because he was a ‘wonderful painter’. As a celebrity who is always at the forefront when it comes to speaking about peace and happiness, with a fierce spirit and seemingly clear conscience between what’s right and what’s not, to reduce Hitler, a man who is responsible for killing Millions in the most merciless way, to just a ‘wonderful painter’ is just…irresponsible. Irresponsible to the Jewish community, to say the least.

What’s even wilder is that she defended Bill Cosby, a man who was charged with sexual assault and said…

“Because I love Bill Cosby, and I love what he’s done for the world. But if he’s sick, why would I be angry with him? The people who got hurt, I feel so bad for them. I want them to feel better, too. But sick people do evil things; hurt people hurt people. I know I could be crucified for saying that, because I’m supposed to be on the purple team or the green team. I’m not trying to rebel against what everybody’s saying, but maybe I want to measure it”.

Here’s what people had to say

I hope Erykah unlearns her problematic opinions and understands that it’s not what she said because yes, she can have good intention but it’s always the principle behind it.
