With UK R&B making a strong comeback, comes new talent and new voices, that being said soul/R&B singer Lauren Ackie is one to watch for 2018.

Since releasing her Genesis EP, she has memorised us with the video to ‘Take It’, which is the perfect chilled out R&B tune. The song discusses the idea of not wasting time with lyrics such as ‘All you gotta do is take it, this heart is yours if you can take it I’m tryna tell you I can take you places’ is the ideal R&B narrative with slow motion visuals to accompany the track. Lauren demonstrates her personal style and voice in the video which takes us on a journey of discovering the world of Lauren Ackie. Expect to hear a heavy influence of 90’s and 00s R&B which always goes down well.
