British-Ghanaian Artist Kezia [@iamkeziagh] drops visuals for her new single ‘Turn Off The Light’ produced by [@Afrolektra]

Born and raised in North London, Afrobeats artist Kezia releases her new debut single ‘Turn Off The Light’ produced by Afrolektra. From the age of 9 Kezia began singing at church, where she eventually became lead. In 2015, the artist released her first single ‘My Type’ featuring GB. Since releasing this hit, Kezia faced some personal battles which made her put music on hold; but now she is back with her new hit ‘Turn Off The Lights’.

The new Afrobeats hit is all about love and specifically how it feels to be desired by that special one. A hit that is undoubtedly due to be a single loved by many, Kezia expresses how this song speaks to many, especially women that want to feel beautiful, sexy and confident. The new single celebrates love and genuine connection, as this can be scarce to find; the Afrobeats artist’s new track exudes the beauty of real love.

Her musical inspirations are Jazmine Sullivan, Beyoncé, Kelly Roland, Adele and Fantasia. Kezia also finds inspiration from things that move her in life, turning her personal pain and hardships into passion and purpose.

Kezia shared a few words about her journey and latest single:

“I want people to know that you can have many talents and tap into all of them. It doesn’t make you less interested in one or the other. Do all that you want to do in this life but make it count. Take risks and do not hold back as an artist. Do not let anything stop you from achieving your dreams. After undergoing a liver transplant at age 14, being in and out of hospital for the past 10 years and publishing my first book ‘The Transplant Girl’ in 2018.

I realised that life is too short not to live life without taking risks. I moved to Ghana from London at 23 years old just to pursue music. I didn’t have a solid plan and I also didn’t have a back-up plan either. I had one goal, and had faith that as soon as I get here and let just one person hear my sound, that I’ll make that one person count and turn that one person into hundreds, thousands and millions of people one day if I persevere.”
