A piece of artwork has been revealed at Southampton General Hospital paying tribute to NHS key workers. Legendary reclusive British artist Banksy has paid tribute to the NHS key workers at the front line, batting the coronavirus pandemic.

The piece of art is called “Game Changer’ and was left at the hospital with a note that said, ““Thanks for all you’re doing. I hope this brightens the place up a bit, even if its only black and white.” The powerful artwork shows a young boy kneeling by a basket where he has discarded his Spiderman and Batman superhero dolls in favour of his new favourite superhero – an NHS nurse.

The painting will remain at Southampton General Hospital until this Autumn and a spokeswoman for Banksy said, the artwork will be auctioned later in the year to raise money for national health charities.
