[@amalou] is Educating The Masses in New Visuals for ‘Same Old Ways’

Ama Lou has shared visuals for her single “Same Old Ways”, taken off of AT LEAST WE HAVE THIS’. Directed by Ama herself and her sister Mahalia John, the two create a quintessentially British setting in a St.Triniansesque private-school backdrop.

The single isn’t shy, just like Ama–it exudes sounds that feel simultaneously nostalgic as they do optimistic. The North Londoner’s versatility is given the space to flourish over a Maestro the Baker produced beat with her unremmiting bars and buttery flows.

Making a triumphant return to the scene, ‘AT LEAST WE HAVE THIS’ has served as a reintroduction to the singer after a 2-year hiatus; speaking about the EP Ama adds– “I have been away for damn near two years making my album with a good friend. When we were coming to the end of the project, I started pivoting to work on this EP. I wanted to get that creative rush back and thought this album deserved a big introduction so I put together the idea for this EP. The main aim was to make it a mini preface project but also because I knew it would be fun!”
