Kurupt [@KuruptFM] Launch New Podcast series ‘The Kurupt FM Podkast’ on Audible

Kurupt FM has expanded far beyond the confines of a fictional pirate radio station based in Brentford. In fact seven years ago the concept of ‘People Just Do Nothing’ jumped from a YouTube show to a BAFTA-winning BBC comedy.

But since then the group has toured with club nights across the country and taken over Sixty Minutes Live for MistaJam on BBC Radio 1Xtra. This summer they have launched a brand new podcast, available exclusively on Audible.

The four-man collective had its roots in pirate radio and based the characters in BBC mockumentary ‘People Just Do Nothing’ on their experience.

By utilising the comedy’s characters, the group have reinvented the boundaries between comedy and musical performance. MC Grindah, DJ Beats, DJ Steves and Chabuddy G have graced the stages of Field Day, Mutiny Fest and Bestival with high energy UK garage sets. Alongside this they released their album The Lost Tapes in 2017.

The Kurupt FM Podkast shows the crew shifting back into the word of comedy and adding another layer of depth to the members on the show. This is done by allowing the four to tackle a range of topics, or everything they think is worth talking about. Topics discussed range from technology, relationships, survival, to fashion and the supernatural.

The podcast really delves into what an uncut Kurupt FM radio show is like. It features calls, drop-in guests, DIY ads, and shout-outs. As well as the classic garage beats and lively bars that make the crew so recognisable.

The Kurupt FM Podkast is available to listen to for free as part of a membership on Audible.

If you are currently not a member of Audible you can listen for free with a 30-day trial at www.audible.co.uk/podcasts.
