Five For Friday ft. [@kadiata93], [@ennyintegrity], [@berwynberwyn_] + more

Five For Friday is back again with 5 releases from the past week you should pay attention to.

Five For Friday is back again giving you 5 great tracks/projects for your Friday. Friday is essentially the most important day of the week musically, and typically a lot of music drops on Friday’s. Friday is the day that the official charts are announced, which lets us know who holds the coveted number one position. We’ve had another very busy week of great music so to make life a little easier this Friday we are giving you 5 of our top picks that have recently dropped to start off your weekend listening.

kadiata Ft. Knucks – Guess What

kadiata links up with Knucks for the vibey ‘Guess What’. This is that real summer music, it fits any vibe you could want and would definitely go off at an event. The feel good anthem makes you just want to get up and shake a leg and the duo each bring their respective unique spin to it. From kadiata we get the strong melodies we have come to expect on the hook as well as some slick but occasionally tongue in cheek lyrics in his verses. This is contrasted with the ever nonchalant Knucks who is equally as smooth on the record and whilst his appearance feels brief it leaves an impact.

Enny – I Want

Enny cannot miss, every time she drops she proves again why she is the name setting the industry. On the latest drop ‘I Want’ we get a strong addition to the catalogue of sounds that Enny can work across as we have her gliding over a KAYTRANADA-esque production that just makes you feel good when you hear it. Never one to lack on the lyrical content Enny again delivers a track filled with substance but this is a little more on the lighthearted side for her and it’s one we love to see from the young star. With yet another hit on her hands, all that’s left to be asked for is a project in the near future.

BERWYN – Tape 2/FOMALHAULT

BERWYN is just a special artist. Having had an incredible year in 2020 musically, including dropping his debut project DEMOTAPE/VEGA, BERWYN isn’t slowing down anytime soon. On his latest body of work TAPE 2/FOMALHAUT, it seems like we’re getting a BERWYN who’s really trying to solidify what his sound is. We get the deep introspective cuts we now expect but it comes with a cohesiveness that I don’t think was quite reached on his debut. This time around, it feels like a project that goes full circle. It was a needed addition to the UK’s musical landscape. Make sure you give the project a listen to see why BERWYN was one of our ones to watch.

INFAMOUSIZAK – GOOD ONES

INFAMOUSIZAK is an artist we need to give his flowers sooner rather than later. His run since dropping ‘Public Enemy’ last year has been pretty flawless even if it hasn’t been the most talked about. With a string of singles and nods from a whole host of tastemakers 2021 looks to be the year IZAK follows up his debut EP DEEP THE NIGHT. If ‘GOOD ONES’ is the teaser I think it is we are in for a treat as on the record we see him experimenting with his sound to incorporate more Caribbean influences. As an artist that has cut his teeth pushing the boundaries of his sound, this is just another track that proves just how talented he is.

Sneakbo Ft. BackRoad Gee – Wag1

When it comes to delivering as a featured artist I don’t think anyone has had a better run in the past year than Backroad Gee. This time Sneakbo called him up to bring his patented energy and unique style on ‘Wag1’. Despite the track’s relatively short runtime, it packs all the punch you’d expect from the record. Both deliver strong performances over the menacing production and the two even go back to back at points for both the hook and on the verses. All in all, this is one to turn up to and could easily become a street anthem for this summer.
