Read: UK Band [@Compozers] Perform With Lauryn Hill At Tidal Concert
The Compozers received a special invitation to perform at the inaugural ‘Diaspora Calling ’concert from none other than Ms Lauryn Hill, former lead singer of chart-topping hip-hop group ‘The Fugees.’ After watching their video ‘A Night with The Compozers 3’ online Ms Hill requested that the group play live at the special concert at Kings Theatre in New York City which was streamed live on Tidal.
The event which took place on April 15 had an array of Afro-Caribbean artists including son of Reggae legend Bob Marley, Stephen Marley and Afrobeats artist Stonebwoy.
Hailing from Tottenham, North London the band consists of drummer Stephen, bassist Nana ‘Poakes’ along with keyboardists David ‘Melodee’ and Charlie ‘Biggz’ and collectively they have been producing unforgettable waves both here in the UK and internationally with their distinctive sound. David is ecstatic about performing in front of 3,000 people “We’re still in shock, to have been recognised by none other than Ms Lauryn herself is truly humbling. This proves that with hard work, faith and persistence absolutely anything is possible.”
