Our favourite looks from the Little Mermaid Premieres

Our favourite looks from the Little Mermaid Premieres

The Live-Action Remake of The Little Mermaid has finally premiered and will be open to the public on May 26th. The blue carpet events have given us some of the best premiere looks on a carpet in a while. Here’s GUAP’s round-up of some of our favourite looks.

First, let’s start with the Little Mermaid herself, Halle Bailey. She did not disappoint, serving us with two gorgeous under-the-sea-themed looks. For the US Premiere, she wore a Valdrin Sahiti Column gown in a metallic silver blue. With the bodice resembling shells, it’s a great way to set off the premiere.

Then she graced us at the UK Premiere in a Miss Sohee shell-themed gown which made her look angelic. From the white shell motives to the headpiece she looked absolutely gorgeous as Disney’s newest princess. Perfectly capturing the old Hollywood glamour that Halle has been serving us recently with her red-carpet looks.

Next, we have Jonah Hauer King, Playing Prince Eric in a Ralph Lauren beige suit, a nod to the charming character he takes on within the film. The suit also makes him look quintessentially British. What do you guys think?

Daveed Diggs, the voice of Sebastian graced the carpet in a Moschino brown patchwork suit with matching brown loafers. The suit is a fun variation from all-black whilst also keeping on the little mermaid theme.

Offset attended the US Premiere with his daughters Kalea and Kulture who are wearing black and white custom ballgowns designed by Isabella Couture and their hair dyed to resemble Ariel’s. Offset is wearing a Micheal Jackson military-style jacket MJ wore at the 1993 Grammy Awards.

Jessica Alexander who plays Vanessa, went as an oxymoron to Halle’s all-white look in this Dilara Findikoglu design. The black two-piece design is paired perfectly with a gorgeous soft glam look. A nice reference to the villainous character she plays in the remake.

Heidi Klum came to US Premiere in this gorgeous shimmering Jasmine Erbas Couture Gown. With beautiful flower detailing on the front, it was definitely a show-stopper.

Stefflon Don wore a coral-themed tulle gown by Millia London. Keeping with green accents in her accessories with emerald-themed jewelry with a green-themed purse. This off-the-shoulder dress suits the little mermaid premiere perfectly.

Sienna King who plays Tamika one of Ariel’s Sister’s wore a Feben’s Fall Winter 23 runway piece. The white dress is stunning on her and is a perfect appreciation of the underwater theme.

Flo also came in bright sequined sparkly dresses by Laquan Smith . Stella is a pink cut-out, Renee is red and Jorja is in purple. All three looked incredible and the uniformity in sequin was perfect for this carpet event.
