Colorintech and Meta Launch New 100 Worlds in 100 Days Initiative
“We believe that the metaverse has the potential to bring people together and grow business opportunities in new and meaningful ways, and we are committed to helping more people build new platforms that are accessible and, importantly, inclusive.“
Ashleigh Ainsley, co-founder of Colorintech.
Colorintech, a non-profit organisation supporting diversity and inclusion in the tech industry, has linked up with tech giant Meta to create a new innovative programme: 100 Worlds in 100 Days.
With strands for both established Metaverse businesses and new ideas by individuals and small teams, the programme will offer creatives from underrepresented backgrounds training, mentorship, and networking.
Over the 100 days, selected applicants will develop the skills, tools, and knowledge they need to build virtual worlds with the purpose of scaling their businesses to new markets.
At the end of the 100 days, the top six applicants from the Metaverse Business Applicants will be invited to a cultural exchange programme abroad. The top twelve applicants from the Metaverse Idea Applicants will be asked to pitch their ideas to a panel of experts for further support.
The programme clearly shows commitment towards a more inclusive future for the world of tech and has life-changing potential for its members.
All details can be found here: https://www.colorintech.org/100-days.
Applications for the Metaverse Business Applicants will close on April 23rd, 2023, and applications for the Metaverse Idea Applicants will close on May 14th, 2023.
