#SaturdaySteeze is your bi-weekly roundup of the latest fashion and beauty releases that you should know about from the last couple of weeks.
KHULA: ORIGINALS
Khula is a new jewellery brand, created by ASOS collaborator Sophia Tassew which sold out in an hour on its initial launch. Paying homage to her mother’s South African heritage, the name Khula means grow in Zulu. The vibrant, larger than life, tribal-inspired designs are definitely set to see Khula grow rapidly into a favourite for many.
ACW* X CONVERSE
The long-awaited A-COLD-WALL* X Converse first drop came and went quick. The collaboration sees the chuck taylors turned into a chalk grey trainer/boot hybrid with transparent eyestays, a durable heavyweight sole and hiking boot style laces.
As well as the chuck taylors the ERX260 converse have been reworked with suede and leather. Scuffing details around the midsole stay true to Ross’ key inspirations, functionality, underground culture and brutalist architecture. This drop only lasted for 72 hours but there’s sure to be another one.
REVIVAL TWO PIECE
Sustainable fashion brand Revival makes new pieces from old denim and is set to launch a stunning two piece with dramatic distressed balloon sleeves with a matching distressed mini skirt which also comes in black. Keep an eye out on their depop for sample pieces and one offs too!
TELFAR: DURAG
This week Telfar launched a new line of monogram durags, meant to stand out as a counter-narrative to discrimination against black hair. Despite being a cornerstone of black hair care, durags are banned in many public spaces across the US including the NFL and NBA. Made for everyone who can get it, Telfar’s durags are another addition to the brand’s mission to be an inclusive and accessible luxury fashion brand.
1 FIGURES: SPIRIT OF THE ENDS
1Figures are due to drop new pieces as part of their ‘Spirit of the Ends’ collection. Featuring monogram printed beanies and scarves, which seem to be en vogue right now, and neutral coloured tracksuits their latest collection will be available to purchase on October 11th.
