Nike By You is a new initiative that enlists creatives to guest design a pair of sneakers as a new and bold way to tell their stories.
For the London drop some of your favourite creatives have each customised sneakers around the theme of Unseen London with some sick designs which will be available on the Nike By You site till August 13th.
Shay Casanova, known as the stylist who paints, customises trainers as part of his daily craft. He designed the MNKY D LUFFY 95’s inspired by the manga series ‘One Piece’. The vibrant primary colour palette represents adventure, passion & mystery.
Taslima Khan describes herself as a creative artivist and her sneaker design ‘CHANGE MAKEAIR’ reflects this with the colour scheme representing unity and different layers of her culture.
East London native and multidisciplinary creative Richie Mafwa customised the NFLM Airmax 95’s. His design sports a palette of red to represent Tfl, black to signify Black is beautiful reinforced with a ‘BLM’ emblem on the heel tab and white to balance it all out.
Law student and content creator Jade Macpepple-Jaja put her spin on the 95’s with a pink gradient aiming to represent the importance of accessibility for all across creative and professional industries.
20 creatives in total customised either a pair of Airmax 90s or 95’s with amazing designs and even better stories to accompany them.
