Life & Culture: Priscilla Anyabu and Nada Denu treat 50 NHS Nurses with their #TakeCare50 initiative [@PriscillaAnyabu]
Love Island’s Priscilla Anyabu Gives Back To The NHS with #TakeCare50 initiative
50 nurses will receive a care package organised and hand-delivered by Priscilla Anyabu and Nada Denu. After the usual 12 hours minimum day at work, mostly on their feet, the #TakeCare50 initiative offers the Nurses some gifts to help them relax. Considering that there are a large number of nurses who are women of colour, this initiative is one Priscilla and Nada hold close to them as they are passionate about giving back to the community.
They have collaborated with a few brands to sponsor and help fill a box for each of the 50 nurses that have been nominated by the public. The brand sponsors include: Skin Library, Bare-Faced Skin, Candles & Oud, The Box Collection, Kwaku’s Kitchen, Midnight Munchies, Wild Cinnamon Cards, Allure Mii Essential Roots Limited, Kinky Locks, Dirty Astronaut and Power station studios. The competition went live on the 15th of May, all 50 nurses have been selected and their boxes will be hand-delivered by Priscilla and Nada between the 5th to the 7th of June,2020.
Priscilla who was recently on ITV’s Love Island is an advocate for wellbeing, mental health, and female empowerment. A model and presenter who has recently been in the public eye for having a positive image and not being afraid to speak her mind. Ugandan born and British raised won the nation’s heart with her buzzing personality. Priscilla has a powerful audience and has the ability to communicate and relate to people around the nation. She has teamed up with her best friend Nada Denu who runs the events company Aseye Events to roll out the #TakeCare50 initiative in support of NHS nurses. Nada is also a Nurse on the frontline currently helping combat the COVID pandemic.
