Summer Series Presents [@tommisch].
As part of the Summer Series with Amex at Somerset House, was Tom Misch’s headline show. The South Londoner is not only a singer/ songwriter, but also a DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Tom has gained a huge amount of fans over recent years, with over 50k followers on Instagram and over 150k on SoundCloud.
The courtyard of Somerset House was a great venue for the show, with the huge crowds and amazing weather, adding to the great vibe that Tom’s music brings.
Opening for Tom Misch was Carmody, a singer also from South East London, whose folk- pop tunes had the crowd vibesing right away. Next up was the amazing Andreya Triana, whose voice sounded even better live. Her a Capella version of ‘A Town Called Obsolete’, included not only a tambourine but also beat boxing, making for a really great support act.
Tom Misch performed some of his best music during his 90 minute set, including instrumentals where he played the electric guitar. He brought out his sister Laura Misch to play the saxophone on their track together, ‘Follow’, and Will Heard to do the vocals on ‘When You Want To Love’. Misch also brought out Barney Artist and Lewisham’s very own Novelist, to perform with him. Others included Zak Abel and Sam Wills.
For a headline show, it was really dope. Tom kept his fans captivated throughout, with his special guests and sheer talent. With an album in the works, hopefully there’ll be many more great shows to come.
