I met King Mvli in 2010 before I had even discovered he made music. But about 2013 he sent me some tracks and I heard the potential. Why is music so important to you?

Music is life, every time I sit down to create a piece of music I feel like I’m completely free to express whatever is in my head and my heart and just open myself up fully. That liberation is the greatest feeling to me.

When your think about your biggest dreams, where does your mind take you?

I want to change lives with my music, I want to help people get through hard times. I want to help other great artists be heard and I just want to inspire.

Hindsights a bitch, what do you wish you could of learnt earlier?

I wish I had learnt earlier that I can’t do this on my own and I need to surround myself with good and inspiring people

Artists like Flohio, Jamilah, ABSORB, ALQAE and Nadia Rose have been killing the #ShahlaaDiscovers stage since 2013.

This year #ShahlaaDiscovers is bringing a 2 date event to London with 14 Artists performing at the Rich Mix and Camberwell Fair/Festival.

Confirmed headliners are; Kieron Boothe, Paige Lihya and the Paradime Collective, all on different stages and there will be a song for everyone. The genre’s are – Grime, UK Rap, RNB, Soul and Alternative. You’re going to hear some of the best in the underground UK scene!

If it wasn’t obvious, both dates will be hosted by me **raises hand** with support from UK DJ and Reprezent Radio Host Jeremiah Asiamah plus more, so good times are ahead.
